Greetings!

First, I want to wish you all good health and happy homes during these trying times. Like many of you, I am working remotely, and can appreciate the new challenges this presents to all of us. I hope you and your family remain well and secure.

During this period, I want to assure you that I am open for business and here to take care of your needs. My promise of high quality service to you has included heavy investment in the technologies needed to keep our team together during times of economic and social change. I am available to you, as always.

While the office is physically closed, we are open for business. At this time, I am not holding appointments in my office, but I am available via email, phone, Slack, Join-me, and other business communications services. Emails and calls will be responded to as per usual: thank you in advance for your patience when call and email volume is high. My office phones, listed below, are answered by a live receptionist from 8 AM to midnight, seven days a week. All other options for reaching me are listed at the bottom of this email.

You can send information to me via a secured file share service, secure fax, or mail. Once restrictions are lifted, I will resume appointments at both my Stamford, CT and Harrison, NY offices. Until then, feel free to contact me with questions or concerns – I am available to handle your issues during this trying time. Our team is working remotely to meet your needs and produce your deliverables with the same quality and timeliness you have already come to expect.

Second, I want to address a topic that may be of interest to many: tax filing. As many of you have heard, the tax filing deadline has been moved and extended to July 15th. How this affects you depends on your situation.

? If you have not yet filed your taxes, and anticipate either a state or federal refund, there’s no reason to wait until July 15th. I can file the return with a July15th date to make your payment and you will receive your refund. Have your taxes filed today and get it out of the way.

? If you have not yet filed your taxes, and anticipate owing a federal or state payment, you do not have to make this payment until July 15th. However, I can prepare and file both your federal and state tax returns now, and have the payments debited from your account automatically on July 15th. Have your taxes filed today and get it out of the way.

? If you have already filed your returns and have a tax payment date preset at April 15th, I am trying to determine if that debit can be moved to July 15th. I will make that information available when it is determined.

Third, I want to briefly assure my small business clients that I am reviewing all available federal, state, and local financial assistance programs available to small businesses like you. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call me so that I can advise you on what assistance may be available to you.

Thank you all for your time and attention. I know we’re all a little stressed during these unusual times but know that I am here to help. Your tax needs are being looked after, and I am here to help in any way I can. Stay home, stay safe, and feel free to check in if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Michael M. Arons
